Lono – The woman who had two navels
“The distinction between past, present and future is only a persistent illusion. ” – Albert Einstein
Somewhere a woman is sitting at a table.
Her memories and visions of the future are illuminated by a seemingly banal table lamp that is tirelessly trying to dominate in the unequal duo of woman and lamp. A glimpse into the inner conflict and this eternal consciousness that simply cannot be switched off. Illusion, dance and puppetry come together without words and very simply to create something that makes you smile and think – to finally strike with unexpected depth.

Press
“(…) clear dance language permeated with well-dosed classical elements and sophisticated dramaturgy. The solo finally becomes a duet: the lamp comes to life and begins to dance itself. The protagonist is initially confronted with a fantastic being that literally illuminates dark moments, but which eventually becomes encroaching and a threat. (…) How dance, theatre and puppetry are combined here is fascinating and exciting. (…)”
